Updates fail on Macbook Pro Over the past several weeks (beginning 4/20/20) I have been prompted to check for Office updates every time I open Word (I have Word for Mac, current version 16.33 (20011301) When I open the Updater, it offers me an update to 16.37 (20051002) and downloads the update, but it will not install the update. There are two download types: Manual: Ad-hoc download with minor enhancements and/or minor bug fixes. Download from the Download Center or when instructed by our Support team. Prompted: Important download with useful feature enhancements and/or critical bug fixes. It will download automatically or prompt the user to download when there is no meeting in-progress. Here are some of the things that you should look for before you upgrade to the new update. 1.Check compatibility. Big Sur requires any of the following Mac models: iMac; MacBook Pro; MacBook Air; MacBook; Mac Pro; Mac Mini. 2.Check minimum software and hardware requirements. You should have OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 or later.
I'm running a MacBook Pro 13' mid 2012, 8GB Ram with the i7 CPU, using OSX 10.11.6. I'm trying to update Pages to the newest version in order to use the collaboration feature, but it won't download. When i open Pages on my Mac it tells me that there's a new version of Pages in the App Store and it sends me to the Updates section.
